In this episode of our podcast series Inside Impact Investing, Chief Economist Hans Stegeman discusses the concept of limitarianism with philosopher and economist Ingrid Robeyns. They explore why extreme wealth is problematic and what could be done to put a limit to it.

Ingrid and Hans touch upon the following topics:

  • the necessity of putting a limit to wealth
  • the role and responsibility of the financial sector in this

“Being lucky is really an enormous factor in our lives that we tend to kind of deny. Because it’s one of these features of neoliberalist thinking that we both blame those who are badly off for their position, and we think that those who are successful have earned it themselves.
